In a game so focused on completing an objective, working as a team is a must in Paladins.
This will also help you familiarize yourself with different roles and what is expected of you, while also keeping your pool of characters limited, thus not overwhelming you with skills and abilities that can be hard to keep track of. This way, if your team needs a Flanker, Frontliner, Damage Dealer or Support, you will be ready to fill that role. This is why we suggest that new players learn 1 Champion from each of the four categories.
Although we can't fault you for that, this is a team game and it benefits both you and your team if you learn to play a few extra Champions! That routine usually involves finding one character you love and never playing any other. It can be easy to fall into a routine with Hero Shooters, or any game with Hero based units.
